Rain-Out For
Old Dominion Speedway …….4/26/08
Old Dominion Speedway was able to dodge the raindrops for the first
three weeks of the season, but not tonight as heavy rains pelted the
historic facility just before qualifying. The forecast called for several
bands of rainy weather throughout the night, so the activities scheduled
were called off. The Old Dominion Speedway oval track will be closed next
Saturday night for the Sprint Cup race in Richmond. Racing resumes on
Saturday night, May 10th with a 75-lap feature for the NASCAR / Whelen
All-American Series Late Models. Also on the schedule is a 30-lap feature
for the Mini Modifieds, a 30-lap feature for the Finish Line Towing / INEX
Legends, a 20-lap feature for the Victory Lane Graphix / Advanced Auto
Care UCAR division, and a special 20-lap feature for the MACKA Champ
karts. Practice for all divisions begins at 2PM. Qualifying starts at 5PM,
with racing action set to take the green at 7PM.
