Rain Plagues ODS Once Again.......6/14/08

Once again, rain has abruptly ended activities at the Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas VA. A heavy round of storms came through the Manassas area around 4PM,  forcing track officials to call it a night for the fourth time this season. Practice was just about complete when the rains came through.
Old Dominion Speedway will try again next Saturday night, June 21^st, with a 75-lap feature for the NASCAR / Whelen All-American Series Late Models. Also on tap is a 30 lap event for the Mini Modifieds, 20 laps for the Victory Lane Graphix UCAR’s, and 20 laps for the SRL Mini Cups. A special event for the Va. Sprint Car Series is also scheduled. The last time these super-powered winged machines were at ODS for an abbreviated practice session, they were unofficially in the 14 second bracket. Next Saturday, practice begins at 2PM, with qualifying set for 5PM. Racing action takes the green flag at 7PM.
